PALM KERNEL MEAL (PKM)

PKM is the high-density ground meal by-product after palm oil has been extracted from the palm tree kernel and is imported from the Asia/Pacific region.  It is extracted by an expeller process which leaves a high oil level in the PKM.

PKM is a medium fermenting product with good digestibility, containing calcium, phosphorous and magnesium.  It is  cost competitive as a year round source of protein and dry matter.

Feeding PKM to stock is easy and doesn't require speclialist heavy machinery.  It can be mixed with other products such as maize or grass silage or fed straight from trailers or other portable containers.

COPRA

Copra is the dried section of coconuts meaty inner lining.  Ripe coconuts are dried, reducing moisture to 14% to enable additional processing.

Copra has a pleasant smell which stock find very acceptable, and which masks taints of anonic products (magnesium products) which are also used in stock management at certain times of the year.

Like PKM, Copra will keep for a long time with no wastage or deterioration of quality under dry conditions.  Similarly, birds are not attracted to Copra, avoiding the risks of salmonella or other bird infestation.

CONDENSED DISTILLERS SYRUP

Product Description

A dark brown syrup liquid with a similar consistency to honey, having a pleasant fermented odour and slightly bitter taste.  The product is the liquid remaining after grains have been fermented in the bio-ethanol in combination with yeasts and enzymes.  It is very high in metabolisable energy and a good source of availabe crude protein due to high carbohydrate and fat content and low fibre.  GMO free and is manufactured at Nowra, NSW, Australia.
