Phil has a vast amount of experience in forestry and port logistics, initially beginning work "on the ground floor" as a labourer for the NZ Forestry Service. He has always been attracted to the extremely competitive, hardworking fast paced nature of the transport industry and logistics.
After being instrumental in helping several business expand their logistics-based operations over the years, Phil had the opportunity to work together with Peter Dynes to submit a successful tender for log marshalling work at Port Dunedin. And now Phil is an important part of the Dynes team.
Phil says "Over the last 10 years I have really come to understand the importance of sound leadership and get enormous satisfaction in mentoring and developing staff and seeing them succeed in their roles". "Similarly, for Dynes", he says, "it's all about the people".
