Fleet & Workshop Manager

Originally from the UK Stephen has a wealth of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance. Stephen immigrated to New Zealand in 2002 and worked for VTNZ and LTNZ (which later became NZTA) in the vehicle compliance area.

Stephen enjoys the ongoing challenge of making sure that Dynes “have the right qualified people looking after our assets so that at any time our vehicles are compliant with the vision of being the best at what we do.” He is determined to ensure that the company has the best maintained vehicles; by connecting the drivers to the workshops so that maintenance can be planned and delivered to minimize downtime.

Stephen has learnt a lot from the experienced guys in the company and lists his father, a craftsman with great skill and determination, as one of his main inspirations. Stephen speaks enthusiastically about the NZ Transport Industry, saying “The people in our industry are passionate and want to achieve. The transport industry is a profession and sadly driving trucks doesn’t seem to be recognised as a qualified trade, which I believe it should.”

He sees the company’s main strengths being that it is dynamic, meaning they can respond quickly to changes within the transport environment, and their ability to solve problems by providing logistic solutions through innovation.
