Dynes believe that the best drivers come from being out there, doing it. The Dynes Academy is industry-based learning, not classroom-based. The Dynes Academy offers an alternative pathway to a career in the transport industry that is founded on experienced-based learning with two pathways: Accelerator and Development.
There is a serious shortage of truck drivers and other associated personnel in the transport industry in New Zealand and the Dynes Academy aims to produce some of the highest quality and fully qualified drivers that it can.
We want to produce drivers with the right attitude and culture behind them, with a solid background in health and safety, road courtesy, lawful requirements, respect for the fleet and respect for the company, staff, and community.
You will be mentored by Des Morris, our full-time Cadet Manager. He is focussed purely on our cadets, working with you to identify and grow skills and qualities that are needed in the industry. He’ll help you through doing the hard yards. You’ll gain practical experience in the various divisions our drivers are involved in – bulk milk, powder, log cartage, chip, wine/juice and storage.
