Our Company

Dynes Transport is a major South Island transport company providing a broad range of transport services to customers in the forestry and dairy industries.

Proudly family owned and operated, over the past two generations Dynes have worked hard to build a reputation for providing efficient and reliable transport solutions for industry leaders.

“By our customers being successful; we are successful” ~ Peter Dynes (CEO)

Dynes have developed a competitive advantage in the transport industry through the innovation and creativity of its people and by sustaining a very high standard of equipment.

The History of Dynes

Dynes Transport (Tapanui) Ltd was originally formed in 1969 when twin brothers Jim and John Dynes purchased a small general carrier operation in Tapanui.

In mid 1976 the pivotal decision was made to concentrate on servicing the growing forestry industry and since those early days the company has become a leader in providing logistics solutions to various industries throughout New Zealand.
